Our main objective is
to provide a forum for software services,
companies and professionals to interact , exchange
information, share knowledge and address issues of common interest in
general and the
software technology industry in particular.
Other objectives include:
1. To advice government
on policy issues that affect software technology for the development of
national economy and security as well as wealth creation.
2. To foster and promote the design, development and
documentation of software products and
services to international standards.
3. To promote the acquisition and use of locally made software
products and services by government
and the private sector.
4. To encourage and promote the
exportation of Nigerian Software products and services.
5. To collaborate with similar international bodies and companies
and also serve as a single point of
reference for information on Software products and services in
Nigeria.
6. To play an active role in the training and development
of indigenous
human resources required for
the Software industry.
7. To promote high ethical standards in the Software industry.
8. To actively campaign against Software piracy and ensure
appropriate legislation for protection of
intellectual property rights.
